Fuel and air metering
P0107 — Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Low Input
The MAP sensor signal voltage is lower than normal. The ECU sees an unrealistically low intake pressure and calculates the wrong load and fuel quantity.
Common causes
- Faulty MAP sensor
- Open or shorted signal wire, or poor ground
- Poor sensor connector contact
- Disconnected or leaking vacuum hose
- Sensor supply voltage missing
Symptoms
- Lean running or hesitation
- Rough idle
- Stalling
- Check engine light
How to check
- Check the sensor connector and wiring
- Measure the 5 V reference, ground and signal
- Check the vacuum hose to the sensor
- Replace the sensor if the signal stays low with the circuit in good condition
Can you keep driving?
Short drives are possible, but the engine may run poorly or stall. Repair soon.

Frequently asked questions
- What does P0107 mean?
- The MAP sensor is sending a voltage lower than its normal working range.
- Can a bad connector cause P0107?
- Yes. A loose, corroded or damaged connector is a common cause.
