01. Choose one lookup goal
Do you need to understand how an assembly is built, find information from a part number or look up a fault code? Each need has its own entry point. Choosing one goal gives your lookup a clear direction.
- Understanding how it's built: start from the make, the vehicle and the system.
- Have a part number: start from the part number lookup.
- Have a diagnostic code: open the fault code lookup and keep the vehicle details at hand.
02. Check the right vehicle and coverage
A make being in the catalogue, and having access to it, doesn't mean every model line has the same depth of data. Check what's available for the car you're interested in before you choose a plan.

03. Run one complete lookup
Open a diagram or a code lookup result, read the information that comes with it and check it against what you entered. Only then move on to related assemblies or systems.
- Keep a note of the make, model line and configuration you looked up.
- Read the part name, callout number and notes in the result.
- If data is missing, take a screenshot and note the vehicle details to share with support.
